She made her debut in an inconsequential film “Hero Hindustani” (opposite Arshad Warsi) in 1998 but wasn’t noticed until the small realistic role she played opposite Sanjay Dutt in “Vaastav”. After “Vaastav” she also became a regular in director Mahesh Manjrekar’s camp. Unlike other Bollywood actresses Namrata has been digging more of sensible and realistic roles. She was seen in non-glamorous roles in films like “Aghaaz” and “Tera Mera Saath Rahen”.
